In cooperation with the best restaurants of Riga, the Riga Festival Restaurant opens its doors for the third year during the Riga City Festival. The main theme is „Wild at palate”, which marks the Riga – Gauja Region title of the European Region of Gastronomy 2017.
This year, the following restaurants will participate in the festival: The three chefs restaurant „Tam labam būs augt”, „Avalon”, „B-Bārs”, „Entresol”, „Equus”, „Kaļķu vārti”, „KID*”, „Le dome”, „MUUSU”, „Pagalms”, „Piens”, „Skyline bar”, „Tinto”, „Valtera restorāns”, „Valmiermuižas vēstniecība Rīgā” and Vincents”. By putting their skills together, the top city chefs will introduce the event guests with fresh seasonal foods from local products as well as give an insight into the world of Street Food.
Aside from the tasty bits, musicians will provide a pleasant atmosphere in the Riga Festival Restaurant, and visitors will be able to take part in various fun activities.
This year, the Riga Festival Restaurant will be a tribute to the Riga – Gauja Region title of the European Region of Gastronomy 2017. One of its goals is to preserve the local food culture and traditions by encouraging the restaurants of Riga to use local goods even more.
