{"id":3038,"date":"2014-08-11T13:38:09","date_gmt":"2014-08-11T10:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spikeri.lv\/?p=3038"},"modified":"2014-08-11T13:38:09","modified_gmt":"2014-08-11T10:38:09","slug":"riga-city-festival-riga-funk-fest-will-take-place-first-time-latvia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spikeri.lv\/en\/riga-city-festival-riga-funk-fest-will-take-place-first-time-latvia\/","title":{"rendered":"During Riga City Festival Riga Funk Fest will take place for the first time in Latvia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On August 16th for the first time in Latvia in Spikeri Square during Riga City Festival <em>Riga Funk Fest<\/em> will take place, organized by <em>Wise Music Society<\/em> together with <em>R\u012bgas Sp\u012b\u0137eri. <\/em>The event will happen thanks to the support of Riga City Council\u2019s Education, Culture and Sports Department.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2991\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spikeri.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/funkfestSpikeros-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"funkfestSpikeros\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.spikeri.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/funkfestSpikeros-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.spikeri.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/funkfestSpikeros.jpg 443w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The festival will start at 8.00 p.m. and end at 2.00 a.m. and will gather six most prominent bands of the country that will representing their own interpretations of funk music genre to the listeners.<\/p>\n<p>Every year there are more and more musicians that play funk music, the number of listeners interested in it grows rapidly, that\u2019s why <em>Wise Music Society<\/em> team got the idea to gather most of these bands in one place and organise a festival called Riga Funk Fest. Listeners will have an opportunity to enjoy the open-air concert dedicated to the style of music that compiles soul, jazz and RnB, filled with such energy and drive that one just can\u2019t stand still.
