The association “Latvijas tekstilmozaīka” in collaboration with the association “Riga Spīķeri” on August 15 at Spikeri quarter opened the exhibition “Spikeri mosaics,” exhibiting the works of several authors in different locations at Spikeri quarter.

“Textile mosaic is very ancient, and at the same time very modern art. Its popularity has grown in exactly last twenty years. Textile mosaic is used for sewing clothing, functional objects, and with a special scope it emerges in works of art, “says the association” Latvijas tekstilmozaīka “spokeswoman Aina Muze.

Exhibition “Spikeri mosaics” will be held from 15 August to 15 September in a number of places at Spikeri Quarter: Restaurant DĀRZS (Maskavas street 4), and the Maskavas street 6, Cafe DALI (Maskavas street 12k -1). Admission free.
