About Early music festival
The Early Music Festival provides an opportunity to sample the feel of Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. Festival concerts are given in churches and concert halls of Old Riga. The Festival traditionally reaches climax with a performance in the most magnificent Latvian Baroque castle in Rundāle. The best early musical ensembles form Europe, the USA, Brazilia, Columbia and New Zealand are among participants. Splendid costumes of olden days, early instruments, authentic performance and fireworks.
